Oliver Kyr’s heart beats for stories. Stories that entertain but also dig down deep into the reader’s or viewer’s mind.
Oliver’s feature film THE BIG BLACK has been shown at festivals worldwide (New Delhi, London, Hollywood (Special Mention of the Jury: ‚Excellence in Filmmaking’), Marbella, Santo Domingo, Las Vegas, Seattle, Cyprus, Greece, Germany), won the ‚Golden Pegasus’ for ‚Best director’ and was nominated for ‚Golden Aphrodite’ at Cyprus IFF.
He has published six books so far, his novel „Audrey and Death’ being nominated for German audiobook award ‚Ohrkanus’.
His novel ‘Ascheland’ hit shelves in German bookstores and online 2016.
For his work as creative director in the corporate business he was awarded twice with renowned ‚Corporate Media Award’.
Oliver travels Europe since 2015 with his family, creating the children’s project ‘children’s cosmos’ (2016) and the documentary ‘Citizen Animal’ (2017).
Oliver works as writer, director, storyteller and creative troubleshooter.
