David Ury is an American character actor, comedian and multilingual performer with an established career across film and television. He is best known for his portrayal of Spooge in AMC’s acclaimed series Breaking Bad, a role he reprised in Better Call Saul.
His extensive screen credits include Lodge 49, Powers, 31, Justified, Community and Grimm. A highly versatile character actor, David brings a distinctive screen presence and strong comedic range to his work.
David is fluent in Japanese and holds dual U.S. and German citizenship, having lived and worked extensively in Japan. Alongside acting, he is an established Japanese media translator and co-author of the HarperCollins-published book Everybody Dies: A Children's Book for Grown Ups.
