BIO:

Reza Diako is a British actor of Austrian nationality and Persian-Jewish heritage, based between London and New York and working across the UK, US and Europe. He is best known for his role as Apostle Philip in the internationally acclaimed series The Chosen, joining the cast in its fourth season and continuing through its seventh.

His recent screen work includes The Astronaut, opposite Kate Mara and Laurence Fishburne; Reading Lolita in Tehran, alongside Golshifteh Farahani and Zar Amir Ebrahimi; and Channel 4’s The Siege. His television credits include Apple TV+’s International Emmy Award-winning Tehran, ITV’s A Spy Among Friends, HBO Max/Sky Atlantic’s I Hate Suzie, Netflix’s The Diplomat and London Class.

Born in Geneva to Iranian parents and raised between Iran, Austria and the UK, Reza’s multicultural upbringing has shaped his interest in identity, psychology and human behaviour. He trained extensively in London and New York across a range of classical and contemporary acting disciplines.

His work is characterised by a particular interest in psychologically complex, transformative characters and stories that explore identity, culture and the human condition.
